CLINTON, NY – The RIT men's tennis team (5-8) suffered a 9-0 loss at Hamilton College (7-2) on Saturday afternoon.
RIT's first doubles team of
Brennan Bull (Birmingham, MI/Birmingham Seaholm) and
Jacob Meyerson (Cranston, RI/Cranston West) put up a strong fight in their match versus Danny Tsyvin and Max Zimmerman. The two teams battled to a 7-7 draw before the final point tiebreaker. Unfortunately for RIT, Tsyvin and Zimmerman would gain the winning point, with a 7-3 decision in the tiebreaker.
Hamilton would win all 12 singles sets, earning the six points for the shutout win. Zimmerman and Bull enjoyed a strong match at first singles, with Zimmerman coming out on top, 6-4, 6-3.
RIT is right back in action on Sunday with a non-conference match at SUNY Oswego that gets underway at 12 p.m.
