POUGHKEEPSIE, NY – The RIT men's tennis team (1-2, 0-1 Liberty League) dropped its Liberty League opener, falling 9-0 to Vassar College (3-1, 2-0 Liberty League) from the Walker Field House Sunday.
 
The Brewers opened the match by sweeping all three doubles matches.

RIT's first and second doubles teams battled hard in defeat. The first doubles team of Brennan Bull (Birmingham, MI/Birmingham Seaholm) and Jacob Meyerson (Cranston, RI/Cranston West) suffered an 8-4 loss to Allen Sokolov and Auh. RIT's second doubles duo of Lim and Jake Wolicki (Canton, MA/Canton) fell to Nick Zuczek and Nicolas Demaria by the same 8-4 score.
 
Bull put up a good battle at first singles, before falling to Mathew Yee, 6-4, 6-4.
 
RIT is right back in action at 5 p.m. on Sunday, with a non-league match versus Houghton College from the Midtown Athletic Club.
