SARATOGA SPRINGS, NY -- The RIT (4-3, 1-1 Liberty League) men's basketball was defeated 72-47 at Skidmore College (2-4, 1-1 Liberty League) in Liberty League action from the Williamson Center Saturday afternoon.
RIT trailed 37-27 at halftime, and were outscored 35-20 in the second half. The Tigers shot 31.0 percent from the floor on 18-of-58 shooting. RIT went 3-of-19 from beyond the arc, and made 8-of-14 from the foul line.
Cobey Adekanbi (Bloomfield, CT/Loomis Chafee) led the Tigers with 14 points and eight rebounds.
Taytvydas Kupstas ked Skidmore with 28 points and eight rebounds. Riley Greene added 17 points, and Oat Gallagher chipped in 16 points for the Thoroughbreds who shot 40.4 percent from the floor. Skidmore held a 42-38 rebounding edge.
RIT returns to action on Thursday, Jan. 2, when the Tigers host Alfred State at 3 p.m.
