Women's indoor track and field compete at Nazareth Alumni Opener

PITTSFORD, NY -- The RIT women's indoor track and field team began its 2019-20 season with several solid performances at the Nazareth Alumni Opener Friday afternoon.

In relay action, the team of Colleen Eckl (Pittsford, NY/Pittsford Mendon), Marissa Dispenza (Batavia, NY/Batavia), Ali Binga (Lockport, NY/Starpoint) and Harley Wilson (Bel Air, MD/Bel Air) placed third in the 4x400 meter relay, finishing in a time of 4:09.53.

Wilson placed sixth in the 300-meters (42.60 seconds), while Dispenza placed second in the 60-meter hurdles (9.53 seconds).

Madeline Pizzo (Irondequoit, NY/Our Lady of Mercy) was a winner in the shot put (12.57 meters), while Emily Zebrowski won the weight throw (15.61 meters). Eckl placed third in the triple jump (10.53 meters).

RIT returns to action on Friday, Dec. 13, at the Houghton College December Classic.
