ROCHESTER, NY -- The RIT (3-6-1, 1-3-0 CHA) women's hockey team was defeated 3-0 by Syracuse University (2-10-0, 1-1-0 CHA) in CHA action from the Gene Polisseni Center Saturday afternoon.
Shots were 45-12 in favor of Syracuse. The Tigers went 0-for-3 with the man advantage, while the Orange were 1-for-5. The Tigers took five penalties for 10 minutes, and Syracuse took three penalties for six minutes.
Jessi O'Leary (Woodstock, New Brunswick/Notre Dame Hounds) took the loss in net for RIT, despite making 42 saves. Mae Batherson, Kelli Rowswell and Emma Polaski each scored for Syracuse, while Ady Cohen picked up the win in net, making 12 saves.
RIT is off until Friday, Nov. 15, when the Tigers host Dartmouth University at 2 p.m. from the Gene Polisseni Center.
