ROCHESTER, N.Y. – RIT freshman forward
Jaymee Nolan (Dublin, Ontario/London Devilettes) notched a goal, but it was visiting Dartmouth earning the 2-1 overtime victory, Saturday, at the Polisseni Center.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Nolan out-skated a Dartmouth defender to a loose puck in the slot and jammed a shot on goal that trickled through Big Green freshman goalie Hannah Humphrey's pads. Nolan quickly tipped the loose puck over the goal line with 5:47 left in the first period.
- Dartmouth drew even on a 5-on-3 opportunity with 7:08 left in the second period. The Big Green cycled the puck around the Tiger zone until freshman forward CC Bowlby slipped a pass across the front of the RIT crease to sophomore forward Jess Forcey, who scored the close-range one-timer inside the right post.
- The teams headed to overtime following a scoreless third period. Dartmouth sophomore defender Lotti Odnoga intercepted a Tiger clearing attempt at the left blue line and took a slap shot from the top of the zone. Rombaut re-directed the shot out of the air passed RIT junior goalie Jessi O'Leary (Woodstock, New Brunswick/Notre Dame Hounds) for the deciding tally.
GAME NOTES
- O'Leary finished the game with 38 saves as Dartmouth ended the contest with a 40-18 advantage in shots.
