ROCHESTER, NY – The RIT (7-3-0, 2-1-0 Liberty League) women's soccer defeated Bard College (3-8-1, 0-4-0 Liberty League) 4-0 in Liberty League action Saturday afternoon.
Mia White (Littleton, CO/Rocky Mountain Deaf School) tallied two goals to pace the Tigers.
Shots were 25-2 in favor of RIT. The Tigers took 18 corner kicks. White finished with two goals, while
Jessica Jones (Holden, MA/Wachusett) handed out two assists.
Jessica Wagner (Millis, MA/Millis) and
Abbey Saia (Monroe, CT/Masuk) each scored for the Tigers.
Darcie Jones (Sinking Spring, PA/Wilson West Lawn) won her first collegiate game in net for RIT, making one save. Abigail Stanley took the loss for the Raptors, making 14 saves.
White gave RIT the lead on her goal in the 10th minute off an assist from
Christine Cataldo-Smith (Yardley, PA/Pennsbury). White tallied her second of the game in the 34th minute off an assist from Jones to give the Tigers a 2-0 lead.
After halftime, Wagner scored her first goal of the season in the 57th minute on an assist from Jones. Saia made it 4-0 RIT on her team-best sixth goal of the season in the 77th minute.
RIT returns to action on Saturday, Oct. 12, when the Tigers host Liberty League rival St. Lawrence University. Kick-off at Tiger Stadium is 2 p.m.
