Men's soccer loses 1-0 on the road at Skidmore College

SARATOGA SPRINGS, NY -- Despite out-shooting Skidmore College (6-4-3, 2-3-1 Liberty League) 16-5, the RIT (4-7-1, 2-3-0 Liberty League) men's soccer team was defeated 1-0 Friday afternoon by the Thoroughbreds in Liberty League action. 

RIT fired 16 shots to five for Skidmore, including six on net. The Tigers took seven corner kicks to two for the Thoroughbreds. Spencer Raymond-Smith (Stow, OH/Stow-Munroe Falls) took the loss, making two saves. Sebastian Bosch picked up the win in net for Skidmore, making six saves.

The lone goal came in the 21st minute when Stanley Langyintuo converted a penalty kick after RIT was whistled for a penalty inside its own penalty box. The Tigers fired 11 shots in the second half, including three on net, but could not break through for a goal.

RIT returns to action on Saturday, Oct. 19, when the Tigers fave No. 9 Rensselaer at 2 p.m. in Troy, N.Y.
