Christine Cataldo-Smith (Yardley, PA/Pennsbury) scored twice for the Tigers.
RIT out-shot the Golden Flyers 30-6, and had seven corner kicks to one for Nazareth. First-year
Darcie Jones (Sinking Spring, PA/Wilson West Lawn) picked up her first collegiate win in net for RIT, making four saves. Hannah Miller took the loss for the Golden Flyers, making 11 saves.
Cataldo-Smith gave RIT a 1-0 lead on her goal off an assist from
Mia White (Littleton, CO/Rocky Mountain Deaf School) in the 51st minute. White fed Cataldo-Smith with a thru-ball down the channel that she ran onto and scored first-time to give the Tigers the lead. She tallied her second goal in the 54th minute on another pass from White. Cataldo-Smith has now scored in consecutive games, tallying two goals at Clarkson on Saturday.
RIT returns to action on Saturday, Oct. 5, at Bard College. Kick-off from Annandale-on-Hudson, NY is 1 p.m.
