ROCHESTER, NY - Senior forward
Kathryn Kennedy (Hamilton, Ontario/) of the RIT women's hockey team was named the College Hockey America Player of the Week on Tuesday, for the week ending Jan. 21, 2019. It is Kennedy's first weekly honor of her collegiate career.
Kennedy recorded her second straight multiple-point effort with a goal and an assist in RIT's 4-2 win over Mercyhurst Friday. She assisted on
Ellie Larson's (Hutchinson, MN/Hutchinson Tigers) game-tying goal early in the third period and put the game away with an empty-netter in the final minute. She now has career-best totals of six goals, four assists and 10 points and is plus-6 in 23 games this season.
RIT is back in action at CHA leader Robert Morris University this weekend. Friday's game begins at 7:05 p.m., while Saturday's contest starts at 3:05 p.m.
