POTSDAM, NY -- The RIT (4-4-1, 0-3-0 Liberty League) men's soccer lost 1-0 in Liberty League action at Clarkson University (7-2-1, 1-1-1 Liberty League) Saturday afternoon.
Shots were 9-7 in favor of Clarkson, while the Tigers fired four shots on target to three for the Golden Knights.
Will Sokol (Branchburg, NJ/Somerville) took the loss in net for RIT, making two saves. Riley McDonald picked up the win for Clarkson, making four saves.
Clarkson tallied the game-winner in the 39th minute on a goal from Henry Gomez, Jr. off assists from Ben Root and Nate Liscum.
The loss is the third straight in league play for the the Tigers.
RIT will host No. 22 St. Lawrence University on Saturday, October 6 at 2 p.m. on the grass at Tiger Stadium. The Tigers are working with the community to promote substance abuse awareness on Saturday.
