SCHENECTADY, NY – The RIT men's tennis team (6-10, 0-7 Liberty League) fell to Union College (3-12, 1-6 Liberty League), 6-3 from Sportime Courts on Friday afternoon.
RIT won the first two doubles matches, as
Jared Ingoglia (Essex Fells, NJ/West Essex Regional) and
Patrick Mathews (Rochester, NY/Churchville-Chili) earned an 8-5 victory over Ian Bank and David Bond at first doubles and
Ben Lynaugh (Fairport, NY/Fairport) and
Nick Lim (West Caldwell, NJ/West Caldwell) secured an 8-4 victory over Austin and Max Egna at the second position.
Union would take control in singles, winning the first five spots to win the match.
Michael Peters (New Hope, PA/Holy Ghost Prep) would secure RIT's lone singles win, 7-6, 6-1 at the sixth position over Justin Gold.
RIT wraps up its 2018 season on Saturday at 11 a.m. against Bard College.
