GENESEO, NY - The RIT women's tennis team had its non-conference match at SUNY Geneseo suspended due to rain on Tuesday afternoon. RIT holds a 3-0 lead after doubles play. The singles matches will look to be rescheduled in the near future.
The first doubles duo of
Amelia Ying (Marlton, NJ/Cherokee) and
Shayna Ginster (Webster, NY/Webster Thomas) earned an 8-2 win.
Claire Casalnova (Mars, PA/Pine Richland) and
Kristen Zablonski (Orchard Park, NY/Orchard Park) recorded an 8-6 victory at second doubles, while
Maddy Price (Baldwinsville, NY/C.W. Baker) and
Annie Steinbrink (Upper Dublin, PA/Upper Dublin) picked up an 8-1 win at third singles.
RIT heads out on the road this weekend, taking on Union Friday afternoon at 3 p.m. and Bard Saturday at 11 a.m.
