ROCHESTER, NY - The RIT women's basketball team will unveil a banner to commemorate its inaugural 2017 Liberty League Championship and first trip to the NCAA Tournament on Friday, Feb. 2. Head coach Amy Reed along with alumnae and current members of the team will unveil the banner prior to the start of the Tigers game at 6 p.m. versus Clarkson University at Clark Gymnasium.

RIT posted a 19-9 overall record in 2016-17, tying or setting 11 different team records along the way. It was the first league title in the program's 30-year history. In the title game, RIT out-scored Clarkson 47-21 in the first half, en route to an 85-72 win,  securing its first trip to the NCAA Division III Tournament.

The Tigers enter this weekend 15-3 overall and sit atop the Liberty League standings with a 9-2 conference mark.
