Box Score HANOVER, NH – The RIT women's hockey team (2-6-3, 0-2-0 CHA) erupted for a season-high five goals in a 5-1 win at Dartmouth College (2-5-0, 1-4-0 ECAC) Friday night. Five different Tigers scored for RIT in the win.

Goaltender Terra Lanteigne (Hatchet Lake, Nova Scotia/Charles P. Allen) was superb in net, making 41 saves while only allowing a first period goal. Brittney Gout (Caledon, Ontario/Brampton Canadettes) and Hunter Burnett led the way offensively with a goal and an assist. Kendall Cornine (Kinnelon, NJ/Morristown Beard), Kathryn Kennedy (Hamilton, Ontario/) and Madison Farrand (Potomac, MD/Winston Churchill) also scored.

RIT was out-shot by Dartmouth, 42-25. The Tigers were 1-for-1 on the power-play, while holding Dartmouth scoreless in two attempts on the power-play.

Tess Bracken scored the lone goal for the Big Green, while Christine Honor took the loss in net, making 20 saves on the night.

"It was great to see the team get rewarded tonight," said Bruce B. Bates Women's Hockey Coach Chad Davis. "It's always tough to win on the road, but we got it done with a solid game in the net and everyone contributing on offense. We know tomorrow comes quick and need to continue push forward and stay on the attack."

The Tigers came back from a one goal deficit and scored five unanswered goals to secure their first win since the season-opener on Sept. 28.

In the opening period, both teams fired eight shots on net. Darthmouth opened up the scoring, as Bracken fired a shot that went off the crossbar before getting her own  rebound and scoring, 5:53 into the contest

With less than a minute left to go in the period, Land found the puck at the top of the circle and fired a shot on that Kathryn Kennedy (Hamilton, Ontario/) redirected into the back of the net. That goal tied the game with 46 seconds on the clock.

In the second period Dartmouth out-shot the Tigers, 21-7, but RIT made the most of its chances, scoring two goals in the period. Just 5:08 into the period, Barnett stole a pass puck and quickly fed Gout, who was wide open in front of the net to score the eventual game-winner. With 6:07 left in the period, Cornine beat two defenders out before putting the puck in the back of the net for her seventh goal of the season, extending the Tigers lead to 3-1.

Barnett and Farrand added third period goals to make it a 5-1 final.

Lanteigne was fantastic between the pipes, staying strong throughout the game. Dartmouth had a few opportunities, including a great chance 8:08 into the second period, right after the Tigers took the lead. Jennifer Costa has a chance but it was snuffed out by Lanteigne, who made a tremendous pad save to keep RIT's momentum.

Dartmouth leads the all-time series between the two schools, 3-2-0. Tonight marked the first meeting between RIT and Dartmouth since the 1994-95 season.

RIT and Dartmouth complete the weekend series on Saturday afternoon at 3 p.m. the game will be available on ESPN+ and will feature live stats.
