ROCHESTER, NY – Senior Anthony DeFeo (Rochester, NY/Hilton) and junior Ben Frenett (Spencerport, NY/Allendale Columbia) of the RIT men's soccer team were named to the 2018 Google Cloud Academic All-District III Men's Soccer Team selected by CoSIDA. They each are eligible for the Google Cloud Academic All-America Team, which will be announced in December.

DeFeo, a co-captain, is a three-time Liberty League All-Academic selection (2016, 2017 and 2018). He holds a 3.85 grade-point average in diagnostic medical sonography at RIT. DeFeo, also a 2017 Google Cloud All-District selection, has been named to the Dean's List at RIT six semesters and is an NRS Scholarship recipient.  DeFeo, a 2019 All-Liberty League honorable mention selection, played in 15 games, finishing tied for fifth on the team in scoring with six points on two goals and two assists. He tallied a season-high three points on a goal and an assist in a 5-0 win over Bard College on Oct. 20.
 
Frenett is a two-time Liberty League All-Academic selection, earning the honor in 2017 and 2018. Frenett holds a 3.97 grade-point average in finance and accounting at RIT. Frenett started all 15 games for RIT in 2018, logging 1,150 minutes of action. He finished the season with one assist.

RIT finished 2018 with an 8-6-1 overall record and picked up four wins in the highly competitive Liberty League.
