ROCHESTER, NY – The RIT women's hockey team opens College Hockey America play with a pair of home games against Lindenwood University on Friday, Oct. 27 and Saturday, Oct. 28. Friday's game starts at 6 p.m., while Saturday's gets underway at 1 p.m.
Tickets are $5 for adults, $4 for RIT staff, faculty and alumni, $3 for youth, and as always, admission is free for all RIT students (one ticket per valid ID). Tickets are available at the Gene Polisseni Center and Gordon Field House Box Offices, by calling (585) 475-4121 or by visiting

RIT enters conference play with a 2-3-1 mark after splitting a pair of non-conference games versus Yale University last weekend, losing 3-1 on Friday, while rebounding to win, 2-1 in overtime on Saturday.
Kandice Sheriff (Brampton, Ontario/) scored RIT's lone goal on Friday, while
Jessi O'Leary (Woodstock, New Brunswick/Athol Murray) made 25 saves. On Saturday,
Tori Haywood (Pickering, Ontario/St. Mary's Catholic) scored a first period goal, while
Kendall Cornine (Kinnelon, NJ/Morristown Beard) scored 30 seconds into overtime to give RIT the win.
Terra Lanteigne (Hatchet Lake, Nova Scotia/Charles P. Allen) was brilliant in the win, as she stopped 40 of 41 shots, including all 18 she faced in the third period. Lanteigne was named the CHA Goalie of the Week for her efforts.
Sheriff leads the team in scoring with five points on three goals and two assists, while Cornine is right behind with three goals and four points.
Brooke Baker (Saline, MI/Saline) has a team-high three assists.
Lindenwood (1-4-1, 1-1-0 CHA) was off last weekend, but split a pair of league games against Mercyhurst on Oct. 13-14. The Lady Lions defeated Mercyhurst, 3-2 in the opener and fell 6-1 the next day. Taylor Girard leads the Lady Lions in scoring with seven points on five goals and two assists. Cierra Paisley has a team-best four assists. In net, Jolene deBruyn has played in all six games with a 3.20 goals against average and .912 save percentage.
RIT leads the all-time series between the two schools, 9-6-5. RIT won three of the four meetings between the two schools last season, out-scoring Lindenwood, 8-3. Goaltender

Scott McDonald won his 200th game at RIT on Jan. 28.
Following Saturday's game, ActNow will hold a forum about suicidal awareness, prevention and counseling with speakers and a panel discussion from 3:30 to 6 p.m. at the Polisseni Center. Although registration to attend is not required, anyone registering in advance at
