ROCHESTER, NY -- The RIT (4-2-1) women's soccer team was defeated by Nazareth College (4-1-2) 4-0 in non-league action from Tiger Stadium Wednesday afternoon. Nazareth's Julia Delgatti scored three goals in the first 21 minutes of play.

Kelly Rogers (Ardmore, PA/Haverford) took the loss in net, making four saves. Allison Dobles got the shutout win for Nazareth, with four saves.
Nazareth struck early and often, tallying three times in the first 21 minutes of action. Delgatti scored the first of her three goals in the fifth minute off assists from Michaela Soules and Laura Herman to give the Golden Flyers a 1-0 lead. Delgatti struck again in the eighth minute when she got behind her defender and scored underneath a sprawling Rogers who had come off her line to try and cut down Delgatti's angle. Delgatti completed the hat-trick and made it 3-0 Nazareth on her third of the game in the 21st minute.
RIT's first shot on net came with 9:59 to play in the first half when
Abbey Saia (Monroe, CT/Masuk) pulled back a pass to
Caitlyn Daly (Glendora, CA/St. Lucy's Priory) who fired a shot on net that Dobles was able to gobble up.
The Tigers had a chance early in the second half when
Danielle Losquadro (Merrick, NY/Sanford H. Calhoun) sent a ball into the Nazareth penalty area that
Anka Parzych (Niskayuna, NY/Niskayuna) got a foot to, but sent her shot just wide of the net.
Nazareth made it 4-0 on Jordyn Ruston's goal in the 58th minute off a corner kick. Kate Billington sent in the service and Ruston elevated and headed her shot into the net.
Lauren Chester (Rochester, NY/Greece Olympia) had a pair of shots on goal late in the game from distance, but the Tigers could not crack the Golden Flyers defense that has allowed just two goals this season.
The four goals allowed is the most conceded in a game for RIT since a 4-0 loss to Stevens in 2010.
RIT returns to action on Saturday, Sept. 24 when they kick off the conference schedule by hosting Liberty League foe, Clarkson University at 3 p.m.
