ONEONTA, NY – The RIT women's tennis team (4-13, 1-5 Liberty League) dropped a non-conference match on the road to SUNY Oneonta (10-12, 2-1 SUNYAC), 7-2 on Saturday afternoon.
RIT's lone victories came in singles play. At the top slot,
Amelia Ying (Marlton, NJ/Cherokee) picked up her seventh singles victory of the season, defeating Alana Green in three sets, 6-0, 2-6, (10-3).
Brianna Dimisko (Hyde Park, NY/Our Lady of Lourdes) defeated Michelle Halpern at third singles in straight sets, 6-2, 7-5. At sixth singles,
Jessica Coombs (Dansville, NY/Dansville) took Gabriella Dybas to the wire in the first set, but Dybas rallied for a 7-6 (4), 6-2 victory in straight sets.
The Red Dragons swept all three doubles matches to begin the match.
The Tigers will head home on Sunday, taking on Liberty League foe St. Lawrence at 10 a.m. at the RIT Tennis Courts. RIT will honor
Kelsie Redburn (Byram, NJ/Pope John XXIII) as its lone senior.
