ROCHESTER, NY — The RIT women's hockey team heads to St. Charles, Missouri for a two-game series with Lindenwood University this weekend. Friday's game will be the first road contest in College Hockey America play for the Tigers this season. Both games will be played at the Lindenwood Ice Arena, at 8 p.m. on Friday and 4 p.m. Saturday.

The Tigers are coming off a a pair of games at the Gene Polisseni Center with CHA leader Robert Morris, who receieved votes in this week's USCHO national poll. The Colonials just edged out the Tigers in a tightly-contested 4-3 battle last Friday, in which RIT freshmen Claudia Black (Newmarket, Ontario/St. Maximilian Kobe) and Taylor Baker (Toronto, Ontario/North Toronto Collegiate Institute) netted their first collegiate goals. Robert Morris took Saturday's game by the score of 5-1. The Tigers scored three power-play goals on the weekend, including two on Friday. Kendall Cornine (Kinnelon, NJ/Morristown Beard) tallied three points (one goal and two assists) on the weekend.

Lindenwood enters the weekend with a 0-9-1 record, including a 0-3-1 mark in league play. Last weekend, the Lady Lions was at fellow CHA rival Penn State, falling 3-2 on Friday night, and skating to a 1-1 tie Saturday. Britannia Gillanders leads the team in scoring with three points on two goals and an assist. Kristen Martin, Cierra Paisley, and Carla Goodwin are right behind with two points, respectively. In net, Jolene deBruyn has started eight games, while Lauren Bailey has played in three. deBruyn is 0-6-1 with a 2.87 goals against average and a .907 save percentage.

RIT leads the all-time series between the two schools, 6-5-4. Lindenwood won two of last year's four meetings, going 2-1-1 against the Tigers. The Lady Lions won game one at the Gene Polisseni Center in December, 4-1, before the teams skated to a 1-1 tie the next day. In February, the teams split a two game series at Lindenwood, as RIT won 3-2 in the opener, and lost 2-1 in the finale. Brinna Dochniak (Marine on St. Croix, MN/Stillwater), Caitlin Wallace (Brantford, Ontario/Assumption Collegiate), Darcy Henderson (Burlington, Ontario/Burlington Barracudas) and Kathryn Kennedy (Hamilton, Ontario) all had a point in the victory for the Tigers. Jenna de Jonge (Abbotsford, British Columbia/George Elliot) would make 36 saves the RIT win.

Video and live stats will be available for both Friday and Saturday's games.
