ROCHESTER, NY -- The RIT (4-4-2, 1-1-1 Liberty League) men's soccer team lost to Skidmore College (4-3-2, 1-0-2 Liberty League) 2-0 on Saturday in a critical Liberty League game from windy and rainy Tiger Stadium.
Shots were 16-13 in favor of the Thoroughbreds. Corner kicks were 6-2 in favor of Skidmore.
Peter Cinibulk (Bellbrook, OH/Bellbrook) took the loss in net for RIT, making seven saves. Derrick Yam got the win for Skidmore, making five saves.

Ahmed Alrefaei (Jeddah, Saudi Arabia/Al-Alhli) tried to set up
Anthony DeFeo (Rochester, NY /Hilton) in the 18th minute, but Yam scurried off his line to break up the chance before DeFeo got his shot away.
Gene Sicoli (Commack, NY/Commack) had a chance in the 31st minute when
Tyler Hatch (Concord, NH/Tilton School) sent a cross-cfield service to Sicoli, who fired from 10 yards out, just mussing the right post.
Skidmore took a 1-0 lead in the 24th minute when Alex Ricci scored the first of his two goals on the game. Adebare Oyeniyi sent in a service that Ricci gathered and fired into the far corner.
Dean Kouroupas (Ridgefield, CT/Ridgefield) had a chance early in the second half when he elevated off a corner kick and headed a ball towards the corner, but his shot was blocked away by the Thoroughbreds defense.
Akram Meza (Troy, NY/Troy) had a chance with about nine minutes to play in regulation when he fired from 15 yards out that was deflected by a defender.
Ryan McMaster (Orchard Park, NY/Orchard Park) had a chance off the rebound, but Yam was able to make the save.
Ricci gave the Thoroughbreds a 2-0 lead on his second goal of the game in the 86th minute off an assist from Kyle Barrett.
RIT holds an 8-7-1 lead in the all-time series versus Skidmore.
RIT returns to action on Wednesday, Oct. 5 when they host SUNY Geneseo in a non-league contest at 4 p.m.from Tiger Stadium.
