Complete 2015 Liberty League Women's Soccer All-Conference Release
ROCHESTER, NY -- Five members of the RIT women's soccer team were named to the 2015 Liberty League Women's Soccer All-Conference Team on Tuesday. Seniors
Elizabeth May (Pittsford, NY/Pittsford Sutherland) and
Emily Shoemaker (Rochester, NY/Greece Athena) were first team selections.
Courtney Hunt (Brockport, NY/Brockport) was a second team pick, and
Anka Parzych (Niskayuna, NY/Niskayuna) and
Emily Thiel (Seattle, WA/Roosevelt) were honorable mention selections.
May, RIT's central midfielder, started all 18 games for RIT, finishing tied for first on the team in scoring with 14 points on six goals and two assists. A 2015 Co-SIDA Academic All-District selection, May played in all eight Liberty League contests. She tallied two goals and an assist in conference action, including game winning goals versus Bard and Vassar.

Shoemaker started all 18 games on defense for RIT in 2015. She helped lead a Tigers defense that was second in the Liberty League, allowing 0.72 goals per game. The 2012 Liberty League Rookie of the Year helped RIT to nine shutouts this season. A 2014 All-Liberty League honorable mention selection, Shoemaker tallied an assist.

Hunt, a midfielder, played in and started all 18 games in 2015. She finished fourth on the team in scoring with nine points on three goals and three assists. Hunt tallied two game winning goals, and played in all nine Liberty League contests.
Parzych, a forward, played in all 18 games in 2015, finishing tied for the team lead in scoring with 14 points on six goals and two assists. Her six goals were tied with May for the team lead. She saw action in all eight Liberty League contests, tallying four points on two goals. Parzych tallied three game winning goals in 2015, tying May for the team lead.
Thiel, an outside midfielder, had a fine first season in a Tigers uniform, playing in all 18 games. She finished in a tie for fifth on the team in scoring with eight points on two goals and four assists. Her four assists were tied for the team lead, playing in all eight Liberty League contests.

RIT finished 2015 with a 12-4-2 overall record and finished second in the Liberty League standings with 19 points and a 6-1-1 conference record. The Tigers advanced to the Liberty League Tournament for the fifth consecutive year.
