OSWEGO, NY - The RIT wrestling team (2-3) began the 2015 calendar year by splitting a pair of matches against King's College and Lycoming at the 2015 NY/PA Duals hosted by Oswego State at Max Ziel Gymnasium. RIT defeated King's 26-24 and fell to Lycoming, 38-6.

In the opener against King's, Jake Sepor (Stafford, NY/Pavilion) recorded a fall at 141 lbs., and Evan Vershay (Canandaigua, NY/Canandaigua Academy) defeated Benjamin Siegel, 4-3 at 149 lbs. Nicholas Greenquist (Spring Lake, NJ/St. Rose) defeated Angelo Lussi with a 16-0 technical fall at 165 lbs., and Nick Fisk (Las Cruces, NM/Mayfield) and Tory Cain (Ontario, NY/Wayne) picked up a forfeit wins at 174 and 184 lbs respectively.

Greenquist and Cain picked up the Tigers wins versus Lycoming. Greenquist defeated Nolan Barger, 4-3 at 165 lbs., and Cain picked up a 7-0 win over Brandon Conrad at 174 lbs. With the wins, Cain improves to 12-2 on the season.

The Tigers are back in action at the prestigious Budd Whitehill National Duals on Friday and Saturday from Lycoming College.
