ROCHESTER, NY -
The RIT women's tennis team (0-3, 0-2 Liberty League) fell to Liberty League rival Vassar College (6-3, 2-1 Liberty League) indoors by a score of 9-0 at the Gordon Field House on Sunday. The two teams were able to play the match indoors despite a snow storm that hit Western New York on Saturday night.

Vassar dominated the match from start to finish, winning all three doubles contests in convincing fashion, while five of the singles matches were straight set victories for the Brewers. At first singles, Vassar's Samantha Schapiro won a stirring match against Maite Vera Antelo (Santa Cruz, Bolivia/Mayor San Loranzo) of RIT. Vera Antelo won the first set, 6-3, before Schapiro roared back to win the second set, 6-2 and the third set tiebreaker, 10-7.

RIT is back in action on Tuesday, April 1 with a home contest vs. Nazareth College at the Gordon Field House that starts at 4 p.m.
