Women's tennis defeated Liberty League foe William Smith

GENEVA, NY -
The RIT women's tennis team (0-2) fell to Liberty League foe William Smith College (7-1) by a score of 7-2 on Saturday morning in a match played on the indoor courts in Bristol Field House. William Smith has now won six straight matches.

Senior Maite Vera Antelo (Santa Cruz, Bolivia/Mayor San Loranzo) picked up a win for RIT at first singles, defeating William Smith's Hannah More 7-5, 4-6, 10-3. Teammate Elizabeth McGrail (Rockford, IL/Guilford) earned a win at third singles over Ashley Lyon. McGrail led 4-0 in the first set before Lyon retured due to injury.

Vera Antelo and Sara Bjork (Gansevoort, NY/Saratoga Springs) played a strong match at first doubles, falling to More and Lyon by a score of 9-7.

RIT is right back in action on Sunday with a home match against Vassar that gets underway at 10 a.m. from the Gordon Field House.
