BEREA, OH – The RIT wrestling team finished eighth out of nine teams at the 2014 John Summa Invitational, hosted by Baldwin Wallace College on Saturday. Waynesburg won the meet with 130 points.
 
Nicholas Greenquist (Spring Lake, NJ/St. Rose) was RIT's top finisher, placing third at 174 lbs., going 4-1. He opened with a technical fall win over Paul Rallis of Baldwin Wallace, 17-0, and win his next bout via disqualification. In the semifinal bout, Greenquist fell to Anthony Bonaventura of Waynesburg, before defeating Ryan Kenski of Thiel in a consolation match, 17-0 via technical fall. In the third place match, Greenquist defeated Marco Crivelli of Thiel, 9-4.
 
Won Kim (Millbrae, CA/Mills) was fourth at 149 lbs., going 4-2 on the afternoon. He opened the day with an 8-2 win over Gage Corns of Baldwin Wallace, before falling in the quarterfinals. In the consolation round, he recorded a 5-2 win over Nick Bloch of Lake Erie, and advanced by a medical forfeit. In the next round he defeated Graham Montague of Baldwin Wallace, 6-4 in overtime to advance to the third place match. Kim put up a valiant effort in that match before falling to Kyle Brezovic of Ohio Northern, 3-0.
 
Eddie McBride (Germantown, MD/Northwest) went 2-2 at 285 lbs., picking up a win in overtime and a fall in the consolation rounds. Greg Jones (Weare, NH/John Stark) picked up a win at 141 lbs., defeating Charles Anoman of Thiel, 6-0. Wyatt Albanese (Canastota, NY/Canastota) went 1-2 at 184 lbs., defeating Dillon Brancheau of Ohio Northern, 2-1.
 
RIT returns home to face Oneonta State in a dual meet next Saturday, Feb. 15 that gets underway at 6:30 p.m.
