ROCHESTER, NY – The RIT women's hockey team will wrap up the 2014 calendar year this weekend, as North Dakota of the WCHA comes to the Gene Polisseni Center on Friday and Saturday, with both games starting at 3:05 p.m.
RIT enters this weekend with a 18-14-5 mark during the 2014 calendar year, having memorably won the College Hockey America Championship. This weekend marks the final two non-conference games of the 2014-15 season, as RIT will play its final 13 games against College Hockey America foes. This season, RIT is currently 6-4-2 in non-conference games.
Tickets for both games are $5 for adults, $4 for RIT staff, faculty, and alumni, and $3 for youth. RIT students receive free admission (one ticket limit per valid RIT ID). Tickets are available at the Gene Polisseni Center and Gordon Field House Box Offices, by calling (585) 475-4121 or by visiting

The Tigers (7-9-3, 1-5-1 CHA) dropped their lone game last weekend, 4-2 at CHA foe Syracuse.
Jess Paton (Woodstock, Ontario/Waterloo K-W Rangers) scored early in the first period to give RIT a 1-0 lead, while
Marissa Maugeri (Ajax, Ontario/Durham West Lightning) scored in the final minute of regulation to cut Syarcuse's lead to 3-2.
Celeste Brown (Great Falls, MT/National Sports Academy) dished out a pair of assists, while
Jetta Rackleff (Bend, OR/Summit) made 22 saves on 24 shots in defeat. Syracuse scored a pair of power-play goals.
Brown currently leads the team in scoring with 12 points on seven goals and five assists. She has four points over her last two games and is RIT's all-time leader at the Division I level with 27 goals since they moved up in 2012. Rackleff has started four of RIT's last five games in goal and has a 1.79 goals against average and .929 save percentage this season.
North Dakota, a preseason top-10 selection, comes into the weekend with a 7-9-2 mark after getting swept on the road at No. 3 Wisconsin last weekend by scores of 2-1 in overtime and 2-0. Becca Kohler leads the team in scoring with 19 points on eight goals and 11 assists, while Meghan Dufault is right behind with 16 points on six goals and 10 assists. North Dakota is outscoring its opponents, 42-40. In net, Shelby Amsley-Benzie and Lexie Shaw have split time this season. Amsley-Benzie is 4-5-2 with a 1.80 goals against average and .936 save percentage, while Shaw is 3-3-0 with a 2.45 goals against average and .909 save percentage.
RIT and North Dakota met two seasons in ago in a two-game series at Engelstad Arena in Fargo. North Dakota leads the all-time series between the two schools, 2-0, having won both games by scores of 3-2 and 8-2 on Nov. 30-Dec. 1, 2012. Eight current members of the Tigers played in that series.
