CANTON, NY - The RIT volleyball team (8-12, 1-3 Liberty League) dropped a three-set match to Clarkson University (12-4, 4-0 Liberty League) and a four set contest to Vassar College (10-7, 2-2 Liberty League) in Liberty League crossover play from St. Lawrence University on Saturday afternoon. Clarkson won the three sets by scores of 25-12, 25-19, 25-11. Vassar won the match, 25-17, 21-25, 25-22, 25-19.

Sarah Szybist (Chicago, IL/Ramstein)# had eight kills and four digs, while #
Bethany Davis (Blasdell, NY/Frontier) led the way with seven digs. (Chicago, IL/Ramstein)Arielle Pariente (Twinsburg, OH/Twinsburg)# dished out nine assists in the loss.
Ashvina Arasu led the Golden Knights with 14 kills, while Lani Durio dished out 35 assists.
In the loss to Vassar, Szybist slammed 15 kills to go along with nine digs. Pariente dished out 25 assists and Davis recorded 19 digs. #
Anna Valentine (Pittsford, NY/Pittsford Mendon)# recorded 18 digs, eight kills, and two servcice aces, while #
Sara Martin (Rochester, NY/West Irondequoit) had 10 digs and seven kills. (Chicago, IL/Ramstein)Abby Higgins (Peru, NY/Peru)# and Szybist each recorded four blocks.
Yesterday, RIT opened Liberty League play by falling to St. Lawrence, 3-0 and defeating Bard, 3-0.
RIT returns home for a single match on Tuesday against Rochester at Clark Gym that gets underway at 7 p.m.
