ROCHESTER, NY - Junior goaltender #Laura Chamberlain (Norco, CA/LA Selects)# of the RIT women's hockey team, was named the College Hockey America (CHA) Goaltender of the Week on Monday, for the week ending Feb. 17, 2013. It is Chamberlain's first weekly honor of the season and fifth weekly honor of her career.

Chamberlain made 41 saves on 42 shots in a weekend sweep over Penn State. On Friday, she made 21 saves in a 3-1 win, having her shutout bid spoiled in the final four minutes. The next night, Chamberlain stopped all 20 shots she faced to record her second shutout of the season and 12th of her career in a 4-0 win. Chamberlain is now 5-6-1 this season with a 2.32 goals against average and .911 save percentage this season.

The Tigers wrap up the 2012-13 regular season on Friday and Saturday with two games at No. 9 Mercyhurst. Friday's game begins at 3 p.m., while Saturday's starts at 2 p.m.
