ST. CHARLES, MO. – The RIT women's hockey team (12-10-5, 5-3-5 CHA) ran its unbeaten streak to four games after a 1-1 draw at Lindenwood (2-23-2, 2-9-1 CHA) on Friday evening. #
Tenecia Hiller (Brampton, Ontario/Brampton Thunder)# scored the Tigers lone tally, tying her for the team-lead with 10 goals on the season.

Ali Binnington (Oakville, Ontario/Mississauga Chiefs)# made 29 saves after being named the CHA Goaltender of the Week on Monday.
Katie Johnson scored Lindenwood's goal and Nicole Hensley made 37 saves on the contest. Hensley made 43 saves in the team's last meeting, on Dec. 16.
RIT out shot Lindenwood on the night, 38-30.
Lindenwood got on the scoreboard first at the 10:16 mark of the first period. Johnson scored her first goal of the season while the Lady Lions were on the power play, giving the Lady Lions a 1-0 advantage. The Tigers entered play 2-6-4 on the season when allowing the first goal of the game.
Just over four minutes later, the Tigers converted on a power play of their own. Hiller took a feed from #
Kourtney Kunichika (Fullerton, CA/LA Selects) and
Kristina Moss (Webster, NY/Buffalo Bisons)# to pull the Tigers even at one. The goal was the ninth time in RIT's past 10 games that they have scored on the power play.
The Tigers dominated play in the second period but couldn't get a puck past Hensley. The Lindenwood goalie made 11 saves in period to keep the Lions in the game. The Lady Lions were only able to muster three shots in the stanza as the Tigers defense tightened.
Each team had two power play opportunities in the second period, but neither could convert.
The third period featured the Tigers out shooting Lindenwood 13-7 but were again kept off the scoreboard. Hensley and Binnington each played strong in the period. The Tigers had three chances on the man advantage but weren't able to score.
Lindenwood went on the power play at the end of the third period and it carried over to the beginning of overtime. However, the Lady Lions couldn't get a chance on net.
Hiller had the Tigers best chance in overtime, on a wrap around but Hensley made the stop.
This is the third meeting this season between the two teams. The Tigers went 1-0-1 at Ritter Arena on Dec. 15-16. RIT took the opener by a final score of 5-1 before Lindenwood rallied to grab a 1-1 tie in the second game of the series. #
Celeste Brown (Great Falls, MT/National Sports Academy)# scored two goals and added an assist for the Tigers on the weekend.
RIT returns to action on Friday Feb. 8 when they host Syracuse. The game marks RIT' "Skate for the Cure" event which while benefit the CURE Childhood Cancer Foundation. For a $1 donation, fans will receive a team photo and the players will be available for autographs in the stands immediately following the game. RIT will also wear special pink jerseys that will be available for purchase during a silent auction while the game takes place.
