Sierra Kiss (Sauquoit, NY/Sauquoit)# scored for the seventh straight game, as the No. 25 RIT women's soccer team (10-2-3, 5-1-1 Liberty League) defeated Union College (9-5-0, 4-3-0 Liberty League), 1-0 in a critical Liberty League matchup on Saturday afternoon The goal is the 10th overall for Kiss in the 2013 season.
Shots were 18-11 in favor of RIT. The Tigers took seven corner kicks to three for the Dutchwomen, who had their three game unbeaten streak snapped.

Amanda Murray (Denville, NJ/Morris Knolls)# picked up her ninth win in net for the Tigers, making five saves. Kara Mashuta took the loss for Union, making five saves.
Kiss scored the game's lone goal in the 54th minute, using her speed to escape from two Union defenders and chip a shot past goalkeeper Mashuta. Freshman #
Caitlyn Daly (Glendora, CA/St. Lucy's Priory)# had the assist on the play.
The Dutchwomen nearly tied the game with 24 minutes left, when Rachel Cohen stepped up into the final third of the field and launched a shot wide. Earlier in the game, Mollie Gilchrist just missed the inside far post on a diving save by Murray while Whiteny Bickford rushed through the Tigers defense came up short just before halftime.
With the win, RIT moves into second place in the Liberty League standings with 16 points and a 5-1-1 conference record. The Tigers are a point ahead of third-place Skidmore and four points clear of fourth-place Union. RIT has clinched at least the No. 3 seed in the upcoming Liberty League Tournament.
RIT returns to action on Tuesday, October 29 when the Tigers host SUNY Fredonia at 3:30 p.m. The Tigers round out the regular season on Saturday, Novemebr 2 when No. 4 William Smith College comes to town for a 1 p.m. start.
