ROCHESTER, NY –
The RIT women's hockey team plays its first home game of the 2013 calendar year to begin a five-game home stand, as they welcome ECAC foe Colgate University to Ritter Arena on Saturday at 2:05 p.m. RIT will look to extend its unbeaten streak to five games.

RIT (9-9-3, 4-3-3 CHA) returns home after enjoying its finest weekend to date as a Division I program, recording its first weekend sweep against a College Hockey America opponent, with consecutive 2-1 road wins over Robert Morris last Friday and Saturday. In the opener, #Kim Schlattman (Stratford, Ontario/Cambridge Fury)# scored a goal and added an assist, while #Lindsay Grigg (Oakville, Ontario/Oakville Hornets) broke a 1-1 tie with five minutes left in the third period. (Woodstock, Ontario/Waterloo K-W Rangers)Ali Binnington (Oakville, Ontario/Mississauga Chiefs)# made 29 saves in net. The following day, #Tenecia Hiller (Brampton, Ontario/Brampton Thunder) and Marissa Maugeri (Ajax, Ontario/Durham West Lightning)# scored, while Binnington turned aside 31 shots to earn the win.

Binnington was named the CHA Goaltender of the Week for the third time this season on Monday. She has been superb over RIT's four-game unbeaten streak, allowing just four goals, while recording a tremendous .964 save percentage (106 saves on 110 shots). She was named the CHA Goaltender of the Week for the third time this season on Monday and now has a 7-4-2 record with a 2.08 goals against average and .922 save percentage in 2012-13.

RIT enters Saturday's game riding a Division I team record four-game unbeaten streak (3-0-1). RIT has allowed just four goals over that stretch. Schlattman and junior #Kourtney Kunichika (Fullerton, CA/LA Selects)# teamed up to become the ninth and tenth players in the history of the program to record 100 career points with a power-play goal in the second period of Friday's 2-1 win at Robert Morris.

Colgate enters Saturday's game with a 5-13-2 record. On Tuesday, the Raiders fell at Syracuse, 6-0. Last weekend, the Raiders split a weekend series at Vermont, losing 2-1, then winning 4-3 in overtime on a goal by Jocelyn Simpson. Colgate has been out-scored by its opponents, 77-32. Jenna Klynstra leads the team in scoring with 14 points (4-10-14). Simpson and Brittany Phillips both have five goals to lead the Raiders. In net, Ashlynne Rando has seen the bulk of time in net, recording a 3-7-2 mark with a 3.58 goals against average and .898 save percentage. Susan Allen has also played in eight games with a 2-6-0 mark.

RIT is 13-2-2 all-time against Colgate, but the Raiders won the first meeting between the two schools earlier in the season on Nov. 9 at Starr Rink on the campus of Colgate by a score of 2-1. Taylor Volpe scored a shorthanded goal with 8:25 left in regulation to break the tie. #Katie Hubert (Burlington, Ontario/Burlington Barracudas)# scored RIT's lone goal in the loss.
