Box Score MORRISVILLE, NY -- The RIT (2-1-0) men's soccer team exploded for four second-half goals en route to a convincing 5-1 win over SUNY Morrisville (1-2-0) in non-conference action on Wednesday afternoon. Sophomore
Kurt Spiegel (Monroe, NY/Monroe Woodbury) scored a career-high two goals in the win for the Tigers.

Jimmy Forbes (Manlius, NY/Fayetteville-Manlius),
Geno Rocco (Apalachin, NY/Vestal) also scored goals for RIT who out shot SUNY Morrisville 24-4.
Coty Winchell (Belfast, NY/Belfast) added a pair of assists, while Forbes and
Jon Price (Baldwinsville, NY/C.W. Baker) each added a helper.
RIT's defense was stout on Wednesday, allowing just one shot to get through on goal.
Sean Conway (Orchard Park, NY/Orchard Park) played all 90 minutes allowing just one goal, that coming on a penalty kick, while picking up his second win of the season.
It took the Tigers nearly 42 minutes to break through, but Brunner's goal in the 41st minute off an assist from Winchell gave RIT a 1-0 lead heading into the half.
Forbes struck for RIT in the 57th minute, scoring off a nice run down the flank, to give the Tigers a 2-0 lead. Price had the assist on the play.
Rocco made it 3-0 RIT in the 64th minute with a header off a loose ball inside the Morrisville penalty area. It was Rocco's first goal as a Tiger. Forbes had the assist on the play.
Danny Peckham converted a penlty kick in the 66th minute to cut RIT's lead to 3-1.
Consecutive goals by Spiegel in the 72nd and 90th minutes salted the game away for the Tigers. Winchell assisted on Spiegel's first goal. Spiegel stole the ball away from Morrisville keeper, Rob Larkin, to score his second goal of the game.
Larkin finished with eight saves for Morrisville.
RIT took 16 corner kicks to just five for Morrisville.
The Tigers return to action on Saturday, September 9 when they host SUNY Cortland at 1 p.m. at Tiger Stadium.
