OSWEGO, NY – The No. 1 RIT women's hockey team (18-1-1, 11-1-1 ECAC West) extended its winning streak to four games after defeating ECAC West foe SUNY Oswego (9-9-2, 8-5-2 ECAC West) 4-0 at Campus Center Arena on Friday evening. #
Kolbee McCrea (Wawa, Ontario/Burlington Barracudas)# scored a pair of goals for the Tigers.
McCrea scored both goals in the first period, giving her a team-best 16 in just 18 games this season. #
Lindsay Grigg (Oakville, Ontario/Oakville Hornets)# scored RIT's third goal, a power-play marker midway through the second period. #
Kourtney Kunichika (Fullerton, CA/LA Selects) closed the scoring with a power-play goal in the final minute of the contest. She also added two assists. (Drumbo, Ontario/Stoney Creek Sabres)Ariane Yokoyama (Van Nuys, CA/LA Selects)# recorded two assists.

Laura Chamberlain (Norco, CA/LA Selects)# shut the door on Oswego, stopping all 15 shots she faced for her fourth shutout of the season and 10th of her stellar two-year career. She is now 10-1-1 this season.
The Tigers out-shot Oswego, 33-15. RIT was 3-for-5 with the man-advantage, while Oswego was 0-for-6. Catherine Cote stopped 29 saves in net for the Lakers.
RIT's three power-play goals gives them 31 in just 18 games this season. The Tigers are clicking at a 30 percent clip (31-for-103).
McCrea struck twice in a span of just under eight minutes in the first period. She scored on the power-play at the 10:21 mark midway through the frame, finishing a nifty passing play from #
Kristina Moss (Webster, NY/Buffalo Bisons)# and Kunichika. She then made it 2-0 at the 18:17 mark, taking a feed from Kunichika on the rush and putting a shot past Cote for the goal.
RIT leads the all-time series between the two schools, 18-7-0, and have won eight of nine meetings between the two schools since Oswego re-established its program in 2007.
The 18-1-1 start is the second best in school history after 20 games for the Tigers, only behind last season's 18-0-2 beginning.
The Tigers and Lakers SUNY Oswego conclude their weekend series on Saturday in Oswego at 3 p.m.
