ROCHESTER, NY - Senior #Sean Sercu (Rochester, NY/Bishop Kearney)# of the RIT wrestling team, was named the Empire Collegiate Wrestling Conference Wrestler of the Week on Monday, for the week ending February 19, 2012.  It is Sercu's second weekly honor.

Sercu went 3-0 for the Tigers at 157 lbs. at the Si Ostrach Meet hosted by Case Western Reserve, defeating Ryan Carson of Thiel 13-0, then defeated Michael Frasuer if Muskingum, 7-2. Sercu ended the day by defeating Issac Dukes of Case, 6-5. Dukes is ranked eighth nationally and was the 2010 National Champion at this weight class. Sercu is now 20-9 this season.

The Tigers return to action on Saturday, as they compete at the Empire Wrestling Championships hosted by SUNY Brockport.
