ITHACA, NY - The RIT wrestling team (0-2) fell to Ithaca College (1-0), ranked No. 8 in the most recent NWCA Rankings by a score of 43-3 at the Ben Light Gymnasium on Wednesday evening. #Jake Harvey (LeRoy, NY/LeRoy)# picked up RIT's lone win of the evening, defeating Joe Rollins at 149 lbs. by a score of 9-3. Results are below. The Bombers won nine of the ten matches, including five via pin.

Ithaca won the most exciting bout of the night at 125 pounds, as Henry Beaman scored a 7-5 overtime decision over #Mike Nguyen (Syracuse, NY/Jordan-Elbridge)# of RIT with a takedown in the closing seconds of the one-minute overtime period. That match was tied 2-2 headed to the third period, where Beaman scored an escape to take a lead. After Nguyen had a takedown, Beaman got the reversal to go ahead 5-4, but Nguyen had a riding time point and it sent the bout to overtime.

The Tigers are back in action on Saturday with a pair of home matches as they host nationally-ranked SUNY Cortland and Niagara County Community College at Clark Gym. Both matches get underway at 11:30 a.m.
