Volleyball rolls to three-set win over College of Brockport on senior night

ROCHESTER, NY - The RIT volleyball team (18-9) celebrated senior night with a convincing 25-21, 25-11, 25-14 win over The College of Brockport (6-16) at Clark Gym on Tuesday evening. Seniors Katie Cooper (New Canaan, CT/New Canaan), Audrey DiPoala (Victor, NY/Victor), Suzanne Jokajtys (Boonville, NY/Adirondack), Cat Sullivan (Lehman, PA/Lake-Lehman), and Christina Worth (Valencia, CA/Valencia) played their final regular season home match in front of the Tiger faithful.

RIT struggled in the first set, hitting just .161 in a back and forth affair before RIT pulled away late. The Tigers rebounded in the second and third sets, hitting .357 and .400 as a team to build big leads. The Tigers ended the final set on a 15-4 run.

Worth led the Tigers with 29 assists, six kills, and three service aces, while hitting .556. Sullivan hit .500 with nine kills to go along with three blocks. Jokajtys had six digs and five kills, while Cooper recorded seven digs, four kills, and three aces. DiPoala led the squad with 10 digs. Freshman Arielle Pariente (Twinsburg, OH/Twinsburg) added six kills.

Hannalee Fordyce led Brockport with 11 kills, while Sarah Zelko added 15 assists and Jamie Snyder recorded 10 digs.

The Tigers return to Liberty League action on Friday and Saturday. On Friday, the Tigers play Bard at 5 p.m. and Skidmore at 7:30 p.m. at Vassar.
