PITTSFORD, NY - The RIT volleyball team (7-12) split a pair of matches at the Purple and Gold Invitational hosted by Nazareth College on Friday night. RIT opened up action by defeating SUNY Geneseo in four sets, then ended the evening by losing to Wisconsin-Oshkosh in three sets.

Junior
Rebecca Moore (San Diego, CA/Rancho Bernardo) led the way offensively slamming 13 kills, while hitting .324. Classmate
Katie Cooper (New Canaan, CT/New Canaan) recorded nine kills, nine digs, and four service aces.
Christina Worth (Valencia, CA/Valencia) dished out 31 assists to go along with 15 digs, five service aces, and three digs.
Defensively,
Bethany Davis (Blasdell, NY/Frontier) and
Lauren Kraft (Lockport, NY/Holy Angels Academy) recorded 14 and 12 digs, respectively.
Cat Sullivan (Lehman, PA/Lake-Lehman) had six blocks to go along with five kills.
The Tigers fell to Wisconsin-Oshkosh in the nightcap, 25-22, 25-13, 25-18. Cooper slammed eight kills, while Moore added six, and #Kyra Wilson-Houck chipped in with five. Worth added 12 assists, and nine digs.
Wilson-Houck had eight digs, while Moore added three blocks. Elise Walsh chipped in with eight assists and seven digs.
The Tigers conclude action at the Golden Flyer Invitational on Saturday, as they face Medaille at 11 a.m. and Baptist Bible at 5 p.m.
