Men's soccer plays to a scoreless tie at Rensselaer

TROY, NY -- The RIT men's soccer team played to a 0-0 tie in Liberty League action at Rensselaer on Friday. With the tie, the Tigers are now 4-2-2 overall and 1-0-1 in the Liberty League. Rensselaer improves to 4-3-2 overall and 1-0-1 in the Liberty League.

RIT dominated, outshooting the Engineers 18-5. The Tigers fired six shots on net and held a 5-4 edge on corner kicks.

Sophomore goalkeeper Sean Conway (Orchard Park, NY/Orchard Park) had to make just one save, picking up the tie. David Vogt (Rochester, NY/McQuaid) and Danny Bloshkin (Liverpool, NY/Liverpool) each had two shots on net for the Tigers and Darryl Anderson (San Diego, CA/Southwest) and Coty Winchell (Belfast, NY/Belfast) each had one.

RIT is now 2-0-1 in their last three games and have not allowed a goal in three straight contests.

The Tigers will face Skidmore College on Saturday afternoon at 2 pm in Saratoga Springs, New York.
