PITTSFORD, NY -- The RIT (0-1-0) men's soccer team dropped its season opener, 1-0 to SUNY Brockport on Saturday afternoon at the 8th Annual Doug May Classic hosted by Nazareth College.

RIT was out shot 11-6 by the Golden Eagles. The Tigers managed four shots on net. Each team took five corner kick, while RIT commited 14 fouls to 12 for SUNY Brockport.

Brockport scored the games lone goal in the 41st minute. Tyler Marsh scored off an assist from Marc Orlando that gave the Golden Ealges a first-half lead.

Sean Conway (Orchard Park, NY/Orchard Park) got the start in net for the Tigers allowing one goal and making seven saves. Kyle Sauln got the start for Brockport allowing no goals and making four saves.

The Tigers will face SUNY Canton on Sunday afternoon at 2 pm at Golden Flyers Stadium in game two of the Doug May Classic.
