CORTLAND, NY -- The RIT women's tennis team was defeated by SUNY Cortland 6-3 in non-conference action on Saturday afternoon.

In doubles action, the team of Caili Nizamis (Baldswinsville, NY/Baker High School) and Jillian Bertuzzi (Longmeadow, MA/Longmeadow) defeated Megan Bagg and Kelcey Myersin third doubles 9-8.

Maite Vera (Santa Cruz, Bolivia/Mayor San Loranzo) picked up a win in first singles 6-2, 6-3 over Loraine Jelinek. Kat Pillman (Greece, NY/Greece Athena) defeated Megan Bagg 6-3, 3-6, 10-4 in sixth singles.
