ROCHESTER, NY -- Senior attackman Kelso Davis (Freeport, ME/Deerfield Academy) scored with 2:20 remaining in overtime to lift the #5 RIT men's lacrosse team to an 11-10 win over SUNY Geneseo. Davis scooped up a ground ball off his own missed shot and fired an overhand shot that beat Geneseo goalie Ryan Zaremba. The win improves the Tigers to 7-0 on the season, while Geneseo falls to 3-4.

RIT erased an 8-3 deficit in the third quarter to beat the Knights for the second straight season. The Tigers scored four straight goals over a 6:08 span in the third quarter to pull within 8-7 on Tyler Russell (Livonia, NY/Livonia)'s goal off an assist from Iric Bressler (Stafford, VA/North Stafford). Russell scored three of the TIgers four goals in that stretch, finishing with four on the afternoon.

Geneseo's Ray Ryan scored with :11 remaining in the quarter to break the RIT momentum, and bump the Knight's lead back to two goals at 9-7.

Midway through the fourth quarter, senior Jordan MacIntosh (Oakville, ON/Holy Trinity) pulled the TIgers back to within a goal with his third goal of the game.

RIT's Tom Riley (West Nyack, NY/Clarkstown South) tied the score at 9-9 with his third goal of the season. He fired a low hard shot that snuck inside the pipe to pull the Tigers even.

Craig Lange answered right back for Geneseo with a goal with 4:01 to play off an assist from Ray Ryan that gave the knights a 10-9 lead.

Bressler scored on a nice move from behind the net, tying the score with 3:20 to play at 10-10. Bressler finished with a goal and three assists.

Geneseo won the opening face-off in overtime. After a timeout, MJ Kiekebelt (Caledon, Ontario/St. Andrews College/Aurora) caused a turnover in the Tigers defensive end. He scooped up the ground ball and started the fast break. He found Bressler, who spotted Davis cutting to the net.

Davis' first shot was saved, but the rebound came right to him. He scooped it up in stride and fired a shot that beat Zaremba and give the Tigers the win.

Geneseo outshot the Tigers 39-37. RIT won the groundball battle 35-30, but won just 9-of-25 face-offs. The Tigers were 16-of-17 on clearing attempts, while Geneseo was 11-of-19. The Knights were 3-of-4 on man-up opportunities, while RIT went 1-for-5.
