CARLISLE, PA -- The RIT (1-1) women's basketball team was defeated by SUNY Cortland 68-46 in the finals of the Dickinson Days Inn Tip-Off Tournament on Sunday. Junior #
Leslie Havens (Wayland, NY/Wayland-Cohocton) and sophomore (Cohocton, NY/Wayland-Cohocton)Courtney Tennant (Cortland, NY/Cortland)# were all tournament team selections for the Tigers who beat host Dickinson in convincing fashion on Saturday.
After a tightly played first half, the Tigers were outscored by the Red Dragons 43-24 in the second half, shooting just 34.8 percent from the floor.
Tennant was the only player to score in double figures for RIT, tallying 12 points on 4-of-11 shooting from the floor. She went a perfect 4-for-4 from the foul line and grabbed seven rebounds.

Kayla Wheeler (Clifton Park, NY/Shenendehowa) scored eight points and had a nine rebounds. Junior (Cohocton, NY/Wayland-Cohocton)Alex Kelley (Rochester, NY/Brighton)# got the start and scored nine points, grabbed nine rebounds and had two steals.
Havens, who tallied 23 on Saturday, struggled from the floor on Sunday, making just 1-of-8 shots tallying three points.
The Red Dragons opened the second half on a 12-2 run to open up a 13-point lead on the Tigers.
A pair of free throw by Wheeler cut the Red Dragons lead back down to nine points, but that would be as close as RIT would get.
RIT will look to get back on the winning track on Tuesday, Nov. 22 at Penn State-Behrend. Game time in Erie, Penn. is 6 pm.
