ASTON, PA -- The No. 1 RIT women's hockey team stayed perfect in the 2011-12 season, moving to 8-0-0 overall and 6-0-0 in ECAC West play, defeating Neumann College (1-3-2, 1-3-2 ECAC West), 4-1 in ECAC West action on Saturday afternoon. For the second straight day, four different Tigers scored goals.
RIT out shot the Knights 51-15. RIT did not score a power-play goal for the second straight game, finishing 0-for-5 with the man advantage, while Neumann was 0-for-4.
The Tigers scored two goals in the first period and two more in the third. Neumann's Amanda Simpson spoiled RIT's bid for its third straight shutout, scoring with 12 seconds left in regulation.

Carley King (Tinley Park, IL)# stopped 14 shots to pick up her first win of the season. Neumann goalkeeper Shannon Donnelly took the loss despite stopping 47 shots.
