Volleyball loses to Skidmore and Clarkson in crucial Liberty League contests

SARATOGA SPRINGS, NY -
The RIT volleyball team (15-18, 4-6 LL) lost both of its matches on Friday night, falling to Skidmore and Clarkson.  RIT lost to Skidmore on three sets and Clarkson in four sets.

RIT fell to Skidmore, 25-19, 25-14, 25-8, then lost to Clarkson, 23-25, 25-9, 25-22, 25-15. 

Suzanne Jokajtys (Boonville, NY/Adirondack) led the way offensively against Skidmore with 10 kills.  Bethany Davis (Blasdell, NY/Frontier) Recorded 16 digs, while Christina Worth (Valencia, CA/Valencia) added 25 assists and eight digs.  

Jokajtys recorded 10 kills against Clarkson.  Kyra Wilson-Houck (Painted Post, NY/Corning West) tallied nine kills, while Rebecca Moore (San Diego, CA/Rancho Bernardo) added six kills and three blocks.  Davis tallied 16 digs, while Worth dished out 26 assists and compiled 13 digs. 

The Tigers are right back in action tomorrow, against Union and St. Lawrence.  The Tigers need to win both to stay in contention for a Liberty Leauge playoff berth.
