BUFFALO, NY -
Head Coach #Scott McDonald# picked up his 100th career victory, as the No. 1 RIT women's hockey team (19-0-2, 12-0-2 ECAC West) extended its season-long unbeaten streak to 21 games after defeating Buffalo State College (7-11-0, 3-9-0 ECAC West) 4-0 at Buffalo State Ice Arena on Saturday afternoon.

McDonald is now 100-19-9 in five seasons at RIT.  He is the second fastest coach in Division III history to earn 100 wins, doing so in his 128th game.  It is RIT's fifth straight season with at least 19 wins.

Four different players scored for RIT.  #Katie Stack (Batavia, NY/Rochester Edge)#, #Traci Galbraith (Oakville, Ontario/Burlington Jr. Barracudas)#, #Sarah Dagg (St. George, Ontario/Hamilton Hawks)#, and #Kourtney Kunichika (Fullerton, CA/LA Selects)# scored goals.  #Tenecia Hiller (Brampton, Ontario/Brampton Thunder) and Kim Schlattman (Stratford, Ontario/Cambridge Fury)# dished out two assists apiece.  Dagg also added an assist.

Seniors Dagg, Stack, and Galbraith all played in their 100th career games.

RIT out-shot Buffalo State, 39-14.  RIT goaltender #Carley King (Tinley Park, IL)# stopped all 14 shots she faced to earn her fourth shutout of the season, and seventh of her career.

The Tigers now have nine shutouts in 21 games this season, and allowed less than two goals for the 17th time.  They are out-scoring foes 120-17 in 21 games.

RIT was 1-for-8 with the man-advantage, while Buffalo State was 0-for-8.

Buffalo State goaltender Alyssa Koniar, who played one season at RIT before transferring, played well against her former teammates, stopping 35 shots.

After a scoreless first period, Stack opened the scoring at the 7:58 mark of the second period, on a power-play, as she took a feed from Hiller on the rush and ripped a shot from the slot past Koniar. The goal was Stack's15th of the season and 76th of her illustrious career.  She is three shy of the school record.

Kunichika gave RIT a 2-0 lead with 3:21 left in the period, with assists going to Hiller and #Kristina Moss (Webster, NY/Buffalo Bisons)#.  It was her second goal in as many days.

Dagg gave RIT a 3-0 lead, shorthanded, 5:12 into the final stanza, as she converted on a feed from Schlattman.  #Liz Gemmiti (Toronto, Ontario/Brampton Thunder)# also assisted on the goal, Dagg's 13th of the season.  It is her fourth shorthanded goal of the season, and RIT's ninth, both of which lead Division III.

Galbraith completed the scoring with three minutes left, blasting a hard slap shot past Koniar for her sixth goal of the season.  Schlattman and Dagg assisted on the goal.

Yesterday, the Tigers defeated Buffalo State, 4-1.

The Tigers return to action on Friday, as they travel to play ECAC West foe Elmira in a crucial conference contest that gets underway at 7 p.m.
