ROCHESTER, NY - The RIT women's tennis team (2-1) dropped a nail-biter, falling to Roberts Wesleyan, 5-4, in a non-league dual match on Sunday afternoon. The Tigers lost two singles matches in third-set tiebreakers.

Senior standout Amanda Berg (Mendham, NJ/Mendham) garnered a win at first singles, defeating Kristen Hemingway, 6-1, 6-1.  Berg also paired with freshman Maite Vera (Santa Cruz, Bolivia/Mayor San Loranzo)  to earn a 8-4 win at first doubles. Vera picked up her third win of the season at second singles, defeating Meghan Wheeler, 6-4, 6-1.

The third doubles team of junior Marie Revekant (Pittsford, NY/East Rochester) and freshman Sara Bjork (Gansevoort, NY/Saratoga Springs) enjoyed an 8-3 win.

The Tigers return to action on Wednesday, September 15, as they University of Rochester at 4 p.m.
