Men's soccer stays unbeaten with win over St. Vincent's

SARATOGA SPRINGS, NY -- The RIT men's soccer team improved to 3-0-1 on the season with a 4-0 win over St. Vincent's College at the Skidmore Alumni Tournament hosted by Skidmore College. Sophomore  Jon Rosebrook (Saratoga Springs, NY/Saratoga Springs) paced the Tigers with a goal and an assist.

RIT dominated in every phase of the game, outshooting St. Vincent's 41-0. The Tigers took 16 corner kicks to just one for St. Vincent's.

Freshman netminder Sean Conway (Orchard Park, NY/Orchard Park) picked up his fourth win of the season, allowing no goals. He did not have to make a save on the afternoon.

Sophomore Justin Dambra (Hopewell Junction, NY/John Jay) opened the scoring in the 30th minute with his first goal of the season on an assist from Rosebrook.

Rosebrook tallied an unassisted goal in hte 56th minute to give the Tigers a 2-0 lead. It was Rosebrook's first goal of the season.

Mekan Hellenov (Ashgabat, Turkmenistan/Olimp Sport) gave RIT a 3-0 lead in the 88th minute, and Todd Gaulocher (Old Greenwich, CT/Greenwich) rounded out the scoring 21 seconds later with an unassisted tally.

The Tigers face the host Skidmore College tomorrow afternoon at 2 pm in Saratoga Springs, New York.
