ROCHESTER, NY -- The RIT women's basketball team was defeated by Utica College 60-50 in Empire 8 action on Saturday afternoon. Freshman guard #
Leslie Havens (Wayland, NY/Wayland-Cohocton)# paced RIT with 21 points and eight rebounds. The loss drops RIT to 10-12 overall and 4-9 in the Empire 8.

Sharon Dennis (Liverpool, NY/Liverpool)# had 13 points, 18 rebounds, six blocks and three steals for RIT, while #
Danielle Furman (Coudersport, PA/Coudersport)# had eight points and five assists.
RIT shot 36.4 percent from the floor on 20-55 shooting. The Tigers were 5-of-15 from behind the arc but committed 27 turnovers on the afternoon.
Jessica Berry led Utica with 23 points and 16 rebounds. Devon Croll added 12 points for the Pioneers.
RIT returns to action on Tuesday, February 16 versus Alfred University. Tip-off is at 6 pm in Clark Gymnasium.
