ROCHESTER, NY – The No. 4 RIT women's hockey team (10-2-3, 5-1-2 ECAC West) extended its winning streak to three games after upending ECAC West foe SUNY Oswego (5-8-3, 3-5-0 ECAC West) 10-2 on Saturday at Ritter Arena. #
Katie Stack (Batavia, NY/Rochester Edge)# recorded her third hat-trick of the season.
Stack scored one goal in the opening period and two in the second period. Stack tallied an even strength goal, a power-play, and shorthanded goal. She now has a team-best 17 goals in 15 games. She also scored hat-tricks against SUNY Potsdam on Nov. 21 and Amherst on Dec. 12.

Megan Kobar (Calgary, Alberta)# tallied a career-best two goals and an assist, while #

Amy Torgerson (Owatonna, MN/Gilmour Academy)# improved to 6-0-2 this season, and 11-0-2 in her career, stopping 14 shots. Emi Williams made 32 saves in two periods before being replaced by Lana Peterson. Peterson made 17 third period saves.
RIT was 2-for-6 with the man-advantage, while SUNY Oswego was 0-for-7.
RIT dominated from the opening face-off, playing aggressive, and generating several excellent scoring chances all evening.
The Tigers jumped out to a 4-0 lead after the first period, out-shooting the Lakers 25-5. Kobar opened the scoring 2:05 into the game on a breakaway. Stack tallied her first of the game 1:58 later. At the 5:54 mark, #

The onslaught continued in the second period, as Stack and Dagg scored in the first 10 minutes of the period to make it 6-0. Kobar tallied her second of the game at the 17:10 mark to make it 7-0.
SUNY Oswego got on the board 33 seconds later, as Kelly Collins scored off a face-off.
Stack completed the hat-trick just 32 seconds later, ripping a shot from the face-off circle on the power-play, while Dagg then tallied her second goal of the contest 20 seconds later.

Jamie Parhar (Calgary, Alberta)# gave RIT a 10-1 lead 5:17 into the third period.
Jenna Kirkwood tallied a shorthanded goal with 1:29 left to complete the scoring.
RIT leads the all-time series between the two schools, 16-6-0. Last night, the Tigers defeated SUNY Oswego, 2-0.
